Communication Companies’ Services Should Be Standardized, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met yesterday with the head of communication companies and the in charges of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
During this meeting that was held in Arg. Discussion and exchange of views were taken place in regard with bringing transparency, control of services quality, paying tax and improvement of working relation of investors with government.
The in-charge of communication companies spoke regarding work condition, improvement of working atmosphere and investment and assured government about their cooperation. They set forth their proposals in connection with investigation of problems and improvement of working relation with government institutions.
After hearing of considerations and requirements of the communication companies’ heads, president Ghani instructed in-charge concerned till a working guidance be created for companies and administration for arrangement of communication services of Afghanistan (ARTA).
The president added that the working atmosphere should be prepared for communications sector in a manner that the communication companies to get benefit as well as the system not to be abused.
Addressing to heads of communications’ companies, president Ghani has suggested that the government plays the role of facilitator, but the knowhow of offering and qualification of services determine the future of your companies.
President Ghani added that the customers’ needs qualified services and government need, the tax of companies, because the former pays money and government committed to the world that it promotes self-sufficiency process.
So, we should jointly work for reaching to this goal.
He expressed government readiness for the removal of working vacuum in its institutions.
President Ghani stated that before taking any decision, the companies should be informed about the decision made by government and finally a system should be established that further transparency be created in the fields of incomes and paying of tax.
The president demanded from the heads of communication companies to consider positive changes in technology and standardized their services according to the requirements of the time.
