Chabahar Port First Priority In Developing Iran-Afghanistan Trade Ties

Kabul (BNA) Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan Province in a meeting with Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said that Chabahar’s potential and its access to high seas were the first priorities in developing trade relations between two countries. Ali Osat Hashemi referred to tourism commonalities between Iran and Afghanistan, saying that taking advantage of tourism capacities and creating joint tours would be effective in bolstering ties.
He called for creating joint dry ports as chances of development in the regions by using Sea of Oman and believed Milak border in Sistan and Baluchestan is a suitable spot to create the port.
He noted that the two countries will be able to make Nimruz Province as a developing trade exchange dock. Dr. Abdullah highlighted many common views of Iran and Afghanistan will maintain in different fields and emphasized that they should work toward achieving the desired goals.
