President Karzai Call On Afghans To Widely Attend Election

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in his bi-weekly radio speech asked Afghanistan people to participate in the second round of presidential elections and elect their president.
In the radio speech, President Hamid Karzai said, “First round of presidential and provincial councils’ elections of our country have passed in a better way and results of the elections were announced by Afghanistan Independent Election Commission. According to the election’s results, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai were announced as two frontrunners for the second round of presidential elections. Therefore, IEC has fixed 14 June as the day of second round of presidential election and Afghanistan people will hold it if Allah is willing.
Dear countrymen!
The first round of presidential election has brought dignity and honor to Afghanistan and it is because of each individual of our countrymen who went to cast votes and made Afghanistan succeed despite dangers and challenges. You have introduced Afghanistan to the world as a democratic country and as a country whose people know the right of their power and make use of it for the better of their country.
You will certainly go to cast votes and elect one of the two honorable top candidates in the second round of presidential election set to be held on June 14 and take Afghanistan a step forward towards success, stability and prosperity. Thus, you are taking our country few steps forward towards stability and democracy. I hope our dear national and people will consider June 14 as a day of Afghanistan’s success and a day of movement towards bright and prosperity future for a stable Afghanistan. I’m repeating dear countrymen! We should go and cast votes for our favorite candidate and take Afghanistan towards success and bright future. Wishing a better Afghanistan and a prosperous future for our children, we’re going out to cast votes in the second round of presidential elections. May Allah preserve Afghanistan, long life the people of the Afghanistan, long life our dear country.
