Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai presided over a meeting at the presidential palace the day before and discussed with the participants the modalities of taking oath of the next president and power handover.
According to presidential press office to BNA, it was decided in the meeting to constitute a special commission under administrative directorate and secretariat of Ministers Council to get necessary preparation for the event.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked to take necessary steps for inviting foreign dignitaries to the oath taking ceremony of the next president. In addition to both the vice presidents, chairmen of both the chambers of the parliament, chief justice and leading presidential hopefuls Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai attended the meeting.
