Kabul (BNA) A member of Afghanistan national council said, US for reduction violence on American soldiers has targeted a commander of dissident of Taliban group in east of the country.
BNA reporters commenting on the issue writes, a hideout of Taliban group have been targeted by air attack in Shindand district, eastern Herat province last week.
Commander of Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan confirmed that aiming to support Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) the US soldiers conducted an air raid in Shindand district of Herat. A unit of US air forces stationed in Shindand airport, the airport has border with Iran.
Local officials in Herat confirmed that Mullah Nangyali a dissident commander of Taliban group who was affiliated with Mullah Rasoul (leader of dissident of Taliban group) along with his dozens of members and civilians were killed following the air attack.
Eyewitnesses said, two drones several times have launched air attacks on PayKashak region, Shindand district of the province, as a result Mullah Nangayali along with his about 40 members were killed and casualties feared to civilians as well.
Some provincial members of Herat province called that Mullah Nangyali was not involved in conflict with Afghan security forces in Herat and there was no danger from him to the forces.
Wakil Ahmad Karokhi in-charge of security committee in provincial council of Herat said, Mullah Nangyali had link with government security organs and based on reports Mullah Nangyali and numerous civilians lost their lives following the air attack.
Mullah Nangyali fought against Mullah Samad who is affiliate with Mullah Haibatullah leader of Taliban group in Herat province.
There is no information about Mullah Rasoul the leader of dissident of Taliban group, but Mullah Abdul Manan Niazai who was governors of Kabul and Herat provinces in Taliban regime led the dissident group and he accused that has link with Iran.
Mullah Abdul Manan Niazai serval times called that Mullah Haibatullah leader of Taliban is agent of Pakistan and he is the cause of war in Afghanistan, but never had apparently negotiation with government of Afghanistan.
Ahmad Saiedi political expert considered that killing of Mullah Nangyali has link with US-Iran tensions, undoubtedly US targets persons/members who has/have relations with Iran in Afghanistan.
Shinki Karokhail member of Wolesi Jirga told BNA, killing of Mullah Nangyali has link with US-Iran tensions, for reduction violence US targets the people those have link with Iran government.
The incident took place, after warning of Iran’s leaders that said they targeting US bases abroad the country.
The statements expressed while before that news released about equipment of Taliban fighters in Herat, Farah, Nimroz and Helmand provinces by Iran, but Afghanistan government didn’t confirmed the news and Iran repeatedly said that has state-centered relationship with Afghanistan.
