Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has condemned the killing of employees of MDC de-mining company in Logar province in strongest term, saying the enemies of peace by conducting such attacks, attempt to disrupt peace and tranquility of the people of Afghanistan.
According to available reports, eight employees of MDC were martyred and three others sustained injuries when came under terrorist attack in Tobagi village near Aynak Copper Mine project on Tuesday when they were busy in sweeping mines and un-explosive devices.
Besides condemning the coward attack, President Karzai said in his message that the enemies of Afghans, this time targeted the innocent people whose duty was serving people and sweeping out the mines from the field.
Targeting and killing innocent people including de-miners is clear indication of enmity with the people of Afghanistan, the president said in the message. In his message, the president also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims and also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the attack.
