President Karzai Flays Attack On Civilian Homes In Badghis

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan strongly condemned a rocket attack, resulted in killing and injuring nine members of a family in Badghis province.
According to Badghis governor office, armed insurgents launched Monday night a rocket on a residential house in Morichaaq village of Balamarghab district, resulted in martyring six members of the family including women and children and injuring three others.
President Hamid Karzai, who is now in South Africa for participation in Nelson Mandela’s memorial ceremony, has seriously condemned the incident and said, “Targeting the country’s innocent people is the act of those serving for foreigners and don’t want Afghanistan to be stable and developed.”
President Karzai also instructed provincial officials for investigation the incident and helping the injured.
The country’s president conveyed deep condolences and sympathies to the martyred families and wished patience to the victims’ relatives and quick recovery to the injured.
