NDS Personnel Are Real Defenders Of The Country, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in his meeting with the heads and in charges of the center and provinces of National Directorate for Security (NDS) said that “you are the real defenders of this country”. 
Wishing success to the participants of the seminar attended by the national security personnel.
He added that I expect you be defenders of independence and people’s life as it is your human and religious mission. 
Touching on the aggression of the former Soviet Union and the cruelties of the former (Khad) intelligence department on people of Afghanistan he added that the desire of our nation is that not only the past bitter days are not repeated but you should be the defenders and supporter of all this nation and the homeland of Afghanistan so that people are not harmed of unnecessary and unrightfully arrests and cruelties. 
He added that attach attention towards the people’s human rights as our people have suffered much from the foreign forces and the government of Afghanistan. 
He instructed the chairman and deputy chairmen of national security department focus attention towards attraction of youth in security and their education so they can achieve their mission actively. 
Ghulam Hussain Fakhri deputy head of the national security department representing others said that the seminar aimed at upgrading the capacities of the security department to prepare them in combating the threats. 
He added that the two day seminar has strengthened the motives of patriotism among the personnel, human rights observance, privacy of the countrymen and their bias rights. 
He stressed that discussed how we can ensure our active role in transition of security, reconciliation and reintegration. 
He proposed that the department under the present conditions should be upgraded to the level of ministry. 
General Abdul Sabour renewed the commitments of the personnel towards preservation of freedom, national interests, territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Afghanistan.
