Kabul (BNA) The World Tourism Day was marked here in Kabul, where the president of the country’s message was read out by his scientific and social advisor, Lal Padsha, the BNA reported the other day.
In the message, tourism was not only called a work and industry, but a social phenomenon could connect the human communities with each other and play important role in expansion of information and relations among them, the BNA said.
A message from the Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani was also read out by Dr. Kamal Sadat in the ceremony, calling tourism a fair ground for receiving information about the culture, history, politics and geography of the countries and called the role of tourism too significant in deal among the countries, nations, people and communities, the BNA quoted.
“Each year some 10,000 tourists are visiting the country’s cities including, Bamyan, Badakhshan, Herat, Kandahar, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Parwan, Balkh, Ghor and other scenic areas,” said the minister in the message as quoted by the government ran agency.
In the meeting another message from the World Tourism Organization has also been read out, with some domestic and foreign tourism companies being distributed appreciation letters, by the ministry’s deputy to administrative and tourism, according to the agency.
At the end, the handicrafts exhibition was opened by the Chinese Ambassador in Bagh-e-Babur (Babur Garden), the agency concluded.
