President Karzai Receives Some Newly Graduated From Domestic Foreign Universities

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan received some newly graduated youths from domestic and foreign universities especially from India the other day. According to presidential press office to BNA, in the meeting which was held in Arg, some of the newly graduated youths on behalf of others thanked the president over his attention for paving the way for getting higher education at home and abroad over the past 13 years.
“Due to your outstanding leadership and attention, today we have higher education, professional and equipped with technology and are determined to serve our people and country honestly,” the speakers said to the president in the meeting.
Hinting at achievements in the country over the past 13 years, the speakers said, “You have put a good foundation in the country. In the past, the country’s president had ruled the country by the power of gun; but you have laid down a foundation that the people today instead of using power; electing their president by casting their votes.”
Expressing his satisfaction over the youths getting higher education at home and abroad said, “Facilitating the youths to get higher education at home and abroad is not my duty alone, rather it is the national obligation of all Afghans to pave the way for higher education to the youths.”
President noted that the only way to get Afghanistan rid of independency is getting knowledge and science, “Afghanistan’s all miseries was because of lack of education, saying getting education paves the way for development and welfare of the country.” The president said.
The president also assured that Afghanistan is moving towards peace and progress, calling upon the youths and the whole Afghans to overwhelmingly participate in the presidential runoff and cast their votes in favor of their favorite candidate.
“High turnout in the runoff from one hand gives legitimacy to the elections and from the other, ensures stability in the country,” president Karzai went on to say.
At the end of the meeting, some of the educated youths presented appreciation letter to the president in recognition of his services and also hoped that president Karzai to play his due role for the country’s progress after runoff polls.
