Kabul (BNA) Chief of army staff General Shir Mohammad Karimi held meeting with his Italian counterpart here yesterday, press office of defense ministry said.
In the meeting, according to the source, matters pertaining enhancing security cooperation, capacity building of national army and Italia’s cooperation after 2014 came under discussion.
General Karimi said that Afghan national army is capable to take over the security responsibility of the country in 2014 and beyond.
The Italian dignitary assured that Italy will continue to support Afghan national army beyond 2014 within the framework of ISAF in the fields of logistic and training.
