Hundreds Acres of Lands Clear From Poppy Cultivation

Sar-e-Pul (BNA) 570 acres of cultivated poppy were destroyed in Sayad district, Sar-e–Pul province yesterday.
The lands have been cleaned by staffs of counter narcotic department and police cooperation from poppy bushes.
Hamidullah Hamid head of counter narcotic department of Sar-e-Pul said BNA, the ministry of counter narcotics destroyed 570 acres of poppy lands in seven districts of that province.
According to him approximately   1000 hectares of land have been cultivated poppy in the level of Sar-e-Pul province this year.
