Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the suicide bombing in Jalalabad city that has left a number of people killed and injured.
Based on the information by the provincial police headquarters, a suicide car bomber blew himself up in the vicinity of Jalalabad-Torkham road close to the airport guard-area in eastern province of Nangarhar killing 9 people, including 6 civilians, an Afghan solider and two guards.
Around 12 others were injured in the blast.
President Karzai condemned, in the strongest terms, the “inhuman and un-Islamic” act by the enemy who continuously target roads and facilities used by civilians and urge that the ruthless enemy would earn nothing but growing public hatred and punishment before Allah, the Almighty.
President Karzai, while grieved by the casualties, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prays for a rapid recovery of those injured.
