People Should Stand United Against Enemies: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has called upon the citizens to get united against the enemies.
The president made the remarks during visit to Nangarhar’s provincial capital Jalalabad and meeting provincial officials, tribal elders, women, businessmen and religious scholars.
During the visit, local security officials briefed the president about the security situation in the province. Administrative officials also presented their reports to the president.
After listening to the reports, the president stressed for bringing reforms and serving the people.
In meetings with president the people of Nangarhar including religious scholars and youth have announced support to the national unity government.
The president said that the legacy of few decades of war is clear to everyone, adding months ago the notion was that some provinces might have collapsed but the government forces besides foiling the enemies conspiracies has convinced the world community that Afghans are peace loving people.
He also said that the enemies can’t confront Afghan national security forces.
The terrorists, he said were attempting to terrorize the people by conducting subversive activities and to overcome the terror, the people have to stand united against enemies.
President Ghani said that he works 16 hours daily to bring gradual change.
According to another report, president Ghani and chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah during visit to Nangarhar also expressed sympathy with the families of those martyred in terrorist attack last week.
