Film ‘I Am Farkhunda’ Displayed

Kabul (BNA) A short feature film named ‘I’m Farkhunda’ was displayed the other day at the international media center of information and culture ministry.
The film in which showed how a young girl Farkhunda was martyred by an angry mob has been produced by Afghanistan youth association.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, head of Afghanistan Youth Association, Fardin Fedayee said, “The film role-played by 13 actors has been directed by Marouf Mezayee, adding messages of the film are Farkhunda’s desires which were against witches.
In the ceremony, administrative chairman for ministry of information and culture and head of secretariat for Kabul people council Zahir Hassan said Farkhunda had been martyred because of ignorance in our society.
He added Muslims should act according to verdicts of Islam and laws of the country in all social fields. Meanwhile, Kabul police Chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi spoke and said, “Police are always in the service of the people and those involved in killing of Farkhunda have been identified and submitted to justice and would be soon punished.” At the end of the ceremony, appreciation certificates and gifts were distributed to directors and actors of the film.
