Presidential Election Go To Second Round

Thursday, May 15, 2014 Kabul (BNA) Presidential election in Afghanistan goes to second round. Dr. Yousof Nooristani Chairman of Independent Election Commission among journalists announced the results of the presidential elections today. According to chairman of Independent Election Commission, in the election of Hamal 16 ( April 5) of current year, more than 7 million Afghans had taken part which Dr. Abdullah Abdullah won 45 per cent of vote and Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai won 31/6 vote which are at the top. Therefore, no candidate could to gain 50+1 votes and elections go to second round.
