Primary Measures Taken to Control Fuel Price in Winter

KABUL (BNA) Chaired a special meeting by Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Economic affairs, discussed the control of fuel price ahead of winter with relevant organs.

The meeting mainly concentrated on the addressing of poor citizens economic problems ahead of this winter, in the meeting the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock was tasked to allow wood from the forests of Nooristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Khost, Paktia and Paktika to enter the market, said a statement received by Bakhtar News Agency.

The Ministry of Agriculture has been tasked, to ban cutting forests, and the violator should be dealt with legally afterward.

Meanwhile, the Ministries of Mines and Petroleum, Finance and Kabul Municipality have been instructed with the task of preparing the coal price control plan for the near winter and presenting it to the next meeting.

In order to control the price of liquefied gas and have precautionary reserves in the coming winter, the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Kabul Municipality are tasked to take the necessary decisions in the field in cooperation with the private sector and the state oil and gas company.

Afghan citizens have been facing an increase in price and lack of fuel in winter in the past 20 years. Now, after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan returned to power in the country for the first-time precautionary steps have been taken.
