HEC Meeting Held

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Finance and Senior Presidential Advisor on Infrastructures Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Humayun Qayumi, chaired the meeting of High Economic Council (HEC), at the Presidential Palace, said in a statement the other day.
Various issues, including the agenda of 1397’s 17th session of the high economic council, the trade plan on creation of jujube process center in Farah province, draft plan on expansion of electric payment, report on pine nut trade and process development and the like have been discussed in the meeting, said the statement.
The meeting, after inclusive discussion on the report about pine nut trade and process development and providing the needed electricity for the industrial parks, thanked the efforts of the Khost provincial agriculture department and Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat achievement an suggested effective consultation relating to the creation of a pine nut processing center and its marketing in other world countries, said the statement.
According to the meeting, Da Afghanistan Breshana Shirkat was talked to provide the needed electricity for the Khost provincial agriculture department and after the extension of the 500 thousand volt rom Uzbekistan, other industrial parks in other provinces of the country, should be provided with electricity.  Other issues related to agenda, mostly focusing on the Kajaki Dam, have been discussed in the meeting, with the council members, said the statement.  The HEC signed a contract on the Kajaki dam handover to a Turkish construction company 77 to be controlled, maintained, utilized and well equipped the dam’s devices.
