Principal Needs of Daikundi To Be Reviewed: Qanooni

Kabul (BNA) A work session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of first vice president for reviewing problems of people in Daikundi.
According to presidential press office to BNA, the session was attended by ministers of public health, rural rehabilitation, education, energy and water, agriculture, public works, urban development and transport, head of independent administrative for local organs, governor of Daikudni and a number of lawmakers.
At the beginning of the session, first vice president Mohammad Younus Qanooni called problems’ dimensions in the province as extended and added the session was held for reviewing and discussing key problems of the people in Daikundi and finding ways of solution of the problems.
Following, governor of Daikundi and representatives of the province’s people in national assembly enumerated their problems in various sectors as roads connecting various districts with the center of the province and neighboring provinces, lack of school buildings, lack of textbooks, health centers, hospitals in districts and other problems with which the people were facing in the province.
In the session, it was determined that ministries which provided their work programs for the province should pay full consideration to priorities and needs of the people in the province.
Construction of transportation roads, bridges, establishment of agricultural research farms and construction of school buildings were the issues which would be implemented by relevant ministries.
In the session, it was decided that a technical team of Ministry of Water and Energy should review in a separate session issue of maintaining of electricity in the province with governor of the province and lawmakers.
Another report said the first vice-President in his meeting with the minister of higher education and rector and a number of Kabul Medical Faculty lecturers called role of higher education very significant in the country.
Construction of the society in any spheres was the results of those working in education and higher education areas in the country, the vice president said.
The higher education minister discussed some challenges, the ministry had been facing with the vice-president and asked for addressing.
According to another report, the vice-president received district chief and some elders of Koh-e-Safi who asked for increasing local police in their localities.
The vice president assured of meeting the problems as soon as possible.
