KABUL (BNA) The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate (IEA), Shaikh Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada has issued a Decree to provide the private sector with new facilities in some tax issues.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in a press conference at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), said that for developing and supporting the private sector, based on the Decree of the Supreme Leader some necessary steps will be taken to facilitate tax issues in the current fiscal year, his office said in a statement Monday.
The conference was attended by the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Finance Qari Din Mohammad Hanif and a number of high-ranking government officials, and representatives of the private sector, the statement said.
In the meeting, comprehensive discussions have been made on fiscal principles, the statement said, adding any possible problems facing the private sector should be shared with the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the statement further said.
“The quarterly profit tax of the industrial sector which was 4 percent, now it has been reduced to 2 percent, agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors have been exempted from 7 percent contractual subject tax have been exempted from 7 percent contractual subject tax, as well as the private universities, madrassas and schools have been had been exempted from 4 percent of the quarterly profit tax,” the statement quoted the Deputy PM Hanafi as saying.
