Projects worth $60 Mln to Start in Southern Provinces

KABUL (BNA) The Agha Khan Foundation wills to conduct projects worth 60 million USD for earthquake victims in Khost and Paktika provinces, said officials at the Department of Economy.

The provincial head of the Economy department of Khost Shahzada Peer told BNA, that projects are being launched with a cost of 59.8 million USD for earthquake victims in Khost and Paktika provinces.

The projects include construction of a school, a BHC clinic, check dams, canals, small dams, 300 houses, 16km road and water network reservoirs.

Meanwhile, Engineer Ghalib the head of the Aga Khan Foundation said that these projects are being started with the cooperation of the Department of Economy, so that the basic problems of earthquake-affected families can be addressed.
