Herat (BNA) A senior Taliban member was detained in Shindand, Herat, during an ANA commando operation last night.
Fouad Aman, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, told BNA that a prominent Taliban member named Abdullah was arrested during a commando operation in the Shindand district market of Herat.
Aman said the detainee was responsible for identifying and assassinating government employees who were detained by commando forces with some weapons and ammunition.
