Qanooni Regrets Over Casualties In Panjshir Car Bomb Attack

Kabul (BNA) Condolence message of the first Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Younus Qanooni on the occasion of martyrdom of a number of our countrymen in a suicide attack in Panjshir province. “Dear countrymen! Coward enemies of the people of Afghanistan by launching a suicide attack on Thursday evening on Hesa-e-Chaharum district of Panjshir province martyred a number of our innocent countrymen.
I wish their souls be in peace. While condemning seriously this cowardly act, I’m wishing paradise to martyrs of this incident and patience to their families. Martyrs of the incident were those laborers working on entrance gate of the province,” the message said.
The attack came on a day when International Labor Day was being celebrated worldwide and terrorists by launching the attack have martyred a number of laborers on the day of labors.
The message further said, “Afghanistan great people know what terrorists’ intentions are and they believe that such brutally attacks could not change the people’s will which is working for peace and stability in the country. Once again I offer my deep condolence and sympathy to martyrs’ families and wish paradise to all those martyred in the incident.” According to another report, the first Vice President Mohammad Younus Qanooni on Thursday night looked after those injured in Panjshir terrorist attack.
The first vice president accompanied by head for office of first vice president Mohammad Yousuf Etebar, governor of Panjshir Abdul Rahman Kabiri and provincial NDS chief and police chief of the province looked after the injured and patients being treated in the province’s emergency hospital and while offering sympathy to the injured wished them quick recovery.
In his speech in the hospital, the first vice president seriously condemned that attack and said, “Enemies of our people in an attack martyred a number of innocent civilians and security forces on a day when International Labor Day was being celebrated around the world.”
The first vice president also condemned similar attacks launched by enemies of Afghanistan in various parts of the country where innocent Afghans lost their life and said such attacks could not change the people’s will.” The first vice president instructed governor and relevant officials of the province to take further steps for prevention of such attacks of enemies of the people.
