New UNICEF Afghanistan Representative Presents Credentials to MoFA

Kabul (BNA) The new UNICEF Afghanistan Representative, Dr. Aboubacar Kampo on Sunday presented his credentials to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a statement said.
“I am honored to present my credentials to His Excellency Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Idrees Zaman, for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,” says Dr. Kampo.
“We value our strong partnership with the government, marking seven decades of support to the most vulnerable children in Afghanistan, which we will continue to strengthen to realize the rights of every girl and boy in Afghanistan.”
Dr. Kampo is a surgeon and a public health specialist by profession.  He comes with over 20 years of experience in both humanitarian and development contexts, having held senior positions within United Nations’ agencies and international non-governmental organizations.  He worked in various complex environments continuously upholding the rights of children and is passionate about using innovative approaches in driving and achieving results for children.
