Qatar Reaffirms its Pledges Supporting Afghan Education Sector

KABUL (BNA) Acting Higher Education Minister, Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Haqqani, in a meeting with Qatar deputy ambassador in Kabul, spoke about the cooperation of that country with the Afghan education sector.

The Acting Minister of Higher Education, Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Haqqani, in a meeting, appreciated Qatar for hosting the Islamic Emirate officials in that country.

He shared details about the Afghan education sector and asked for the country’s cooperation to support the Afghan professors by funding their salaries, providing transportation, and building separate buildings for Afghan male and female students.

For his part, the Qatar deputy Embassy in Afghanistan, Saeed Al-Eida asked the Acting Minister of Higher Education to share with him the list of their needs in order to share with the Qatari government, Qatari charities, and businessmen of that country.

He assured that its country will cooperate comprehensively with Afghanistan in the educational, and health sectors.

Lately, the country’s Acting Higher Education Minister, asked ambassadors and representatives of different countries, in order to strengthen and develop the education system of the country.
