Quadrilateral Talks On TAPI Project Ends Without Result

Kabul (BNA) Reports say quadrilateral talks on TAPI project ended Tuesday without any result.
Ministers of mines and petroleum for Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Pakistan in a session Tuesday in Islamabad discussed on implementation of TAPI project or transit of gas pipeline of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India through Afghanistan. Nevertheless, a number of participants in the session were disagreeable with either responsibility of the project’s implementation to be given to a single company or the respective countries implement the project. Afghanistan minister of mines and petroleum, Daud Shah Saba stressed on urgent commencement of work on the pipeline, adding that Afghanistan is ready for any cooperation in this regard.
The gas pipeline is 2000km long and it is said that 800 km of the pipeline to be passed via Afghanistan.  By participation in the project, Afghanistan will get $ 400 million annually.
