Kabul (BNA) As many as 39 anti-government militias were killed and 19 others were wounded during mopping-up operations conducted by Afghan security personnel within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of National Defense by releasing a statement reported BNA, the operations have been launched to suppress armed oppositions and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Logar, Kandahar, Zabul, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz, Baghlan, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces.
During the operations 3 cars, 2 motorcycles and a storage of explosive materials have been demolished, the source added.
Also Afghan National Army forces within the last 24 hours carried out 14 military operations in 15 provinces, the source concluded.
