Kabul (BNA) The country’s National Security Advisor, Dr. Hamdullah Mohib asked the Taliban to cut violence and join peace process. “Reduction of violence has no meaning and we want the Taliban to cut violence,” NSA Mohib told The Kabul Times, following a media briefing.
“We have taken all necessary steps to reach peace and this is up to the Taliban to proof they are interested in peace. But seeking absolute power doesn’t show their willingness of peace,” said the country’s National Security Advisor blaming the militants for doing what he believes the order of their lords.
NSA said the republic system was ready for peace with the Taliban in any meeting.
Pointing to a peace meeting expected to be held in Turkey, Mohib added that the government was ready to join any peace conference in any countries. “In the Russia Conference, all participants in their statements announced they that they don’t support the return of the Islamic Emirate,” Mohib continued.
NSA Mohib went on as saying that the Taliban have lost in politics and are no using all their means in war. “The release of the Taliban prisoners left nothing except 100 percent rise in violence as they returned to the war front, after being freed,” according to Mohib.
Meantime, the country’s acting Minister of Defense, Yasin Zia assured anyone standing against the government and the country’s security forces, would be counted terrorist and would face Afghan forces’ reaction.
He rejected if the security forces have entered civilian houses in Behsud district of Maidan Wardak province and said: “Fortunately the level of the people satisfaction is higher to the country’s security forces.”
