Asphalting (DBST) of 20 Km Rural Road Inaugurated In Badakhshan Province

Kabul (BNA) National Rural Access Program (NRAP) completed construction of a 20 km road from Bagh-e-Mubarak to Baharak district of Badakhshan province and handed over to the community recently.
Mohammad Anwar Amir Senior regional engineer of NRAP in Badakhshan province said, “this road which has 65 culverts and 14 wash cost of 146 Million Afs. completed from the World Bank donation.”
According to him by completion of this transportation scheme 8,000 persons have been directly and 99000 people will be indirectly benefited from the facilities provided by the project.
Moreover he added by completion of this road in addition of providing job opportunities for local people a positive change has been appeared in conventional and trade of Khash, Jurm, Yamgan, Keran and Minjan districts of Badakhshan province.
This is despite the fact that, few months before 9 km Fayezabad-Koifab (phase 2 lot 3) road is also completed by National Rural Access Program and handed over  to the community of Badakhshan province which provides transportation faculties for almost 100,000 persons and decrease distance among districts.
The National Rural Access Program (NRAP) has always provided long term transportation facilities for residents in rural area through its National Emergency Rural Access Project (NERAP) and Afghanistan Rural Access project (ARAP) to rescue rural residents from Transportation trouble and difficulties.
