Jalalabad (BNA) Taliban senior commander has been arrested and tens weapons of the terrorist group was seized in a clearing operation of security forces in Nangarhar province.
The operations was launched with attendance of hundreds of militaries with support of air forces since a week in parts of Ghanikhail and Momand Dara Districts.
ANA top commander in Selab army corps told BNA, in recent achievements of the operation, the security forces succeeded to arrest the commander.
Likewise, the security forces after capturing several hideouts of Taliban, seized numerous weapons.
Tens regions of Momand Dara and Ghanikhail were cleared from insurgents.
Military officials in east of the country said that the operation continues in the mentioned districts till annihilation of insurgents.
