Kabul (BNA) Two local armed commanders of Taliban arrested in military operations from Kandahar and Helmand provinces.
It has been said during this operation their nine men arrested as well.
BNA quoting NATO sources said, the commanders were active in organizing terrorist attacks targeted by Afghan and NATO military forces in the relevant areas of Maiwand and Nadali districts and arrested.
NATO confirmed that during the operations nine other rebels were arrested.
The commanders had the responsibility of leading the attacks, supplying weapons and financial supports of Taliban groups in Maiwand and Nadali districts.
According to NATO report, during these operations Afghan and NATO military forces have seized two depots of weapons and ammunitions of armed Taliban and also a quantity of narcotics.
Nothing has been said about the possible casualties among Afghan and NATO forces and civilians.
