President Ghani Hears Report About Five Cities’ Development Work Plans

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, through a video conference heard the report about the development works on the preparation of strategic plan for the country’s five big cities, BNA reported the other day.
The development work plan covers Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Kandahar, Jalalabad and Khost cities of the country, which are expected to be provided by the Sasaki Company, said the agency.
The video conference was held at the Charchenar Palace, where the country’s president heard the report of the Sasaki team saying the plan would be arranged within one year and then would be funded by the World Bank (WB) to be implemented in the five cities.
The president, after hearing the report, thanked the Sasaki team’s efforts for the preparation of the strategic plan and the Ministry of Urban Development for cooperation in this field, according to the agency.
Sasaki is a planning company with main office in the Boston city of the US and the expert team operational in more than 40 countries of the world.
Also, the company has earlier provided the design of the Kabul city, according to the agency.
