Kabul (BNA) Eight armed rebels were killed in clashes with security forces in Kunar and Nuristan provinces the night before last.
The armed oppositions who were busy on terrorist activities targeted by National army forces and killed.
The first incident occurred at 7:00 pm the night before last when security forces attacked on armed oppositions’ convoy in Kamdish border district of Nuristan province.
A border police chief of Nuristan told BNA, three armed men were killed in the incident.
The second incident occurred when a group of armed insurgent attacked on security forces checkpoint in Kunar province.
Deputy police chief of Kunar said, five armed gunmen were killed in the event.
According to him there were no casualties among security forces in the clashes.
