Top Leader of Taliban Militants among 34 Rebels Dead

Jalalabad City (BNA) At least 34 anti-government militias including their top local commander were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces and local residents in eastern Nangarhar province within the last 12 hours. 
The clashes took place between Taliban militants, Afghan security personnel and local residents in relevant areas of Khogyani and Batti Koot districts of the province.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesman of Nangarhar governor told BNA correspondent, Hairan a senior commander of Taliban and 33 rebels were killed during conflicts.
During the clashes, 13 local residents lost their lives and 13 others were wounded, Khogyani added.
According to report, following the conflicts Afghan security forces has started military operation to suppress armed oppositions in different parts of Batti Koot district.
