NSC In Principle Approves Strategy To Fight Daesh

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Security Council’s (NSC) session was held at presidential palace yesterday.
In the session, security and defense sector ministers by delivering report in connection with security condition of the country in particular Helmand, Uruzgan, Faryab, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Sar-e-Pul and Baghlan provinces praised the country’s security and defense forces in fighting enemies and repulsing security threats.
In the session, necessary instructions were given for repulsing security threats in the country.
Afterwards, national Security Council by re-declaring the government’s full commitment and determination related to holding parliamentary and district councils’ elections reviewed preliminary report of security plan for the election, issuing necessary instructions to relevant organs for finalization of the plan.
Meanwhile, national Security Council instructed ministry of justice to continue reviews of required fund of the elections with donors and assure them commitment of Afghanistan government in this regard.
NSC by insisting on importance of holding the elections instructed relevant organs to accelerate legal programs of the elections process.
At the end of the session, counter Daesh strategy was discussed and NSC by praising the tasked organs for codification of the strategy approved it and issued overall instructions to relevant organs for fully suppressing the terrorist group and prevention of its activities in Afghanistan.
