President Karzai Chairs National Security Council’s Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Council with President Hamid Karzai on the chair held meeting yesterday and discussed the country’s security situation.
In the meeting, the president first welcomed resuming office by Asadullah Khalid the head of national directorate for security and wished success for him. 
Khalid in his remarks promised to spare no efforts in bringing about peace and security in the country.
The head of commission for coordination of security transition process, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai told the meeting that no detainees are in the control of US military, saying the Bagram prison is in full sovereignty of the government of Afghanistan. 
Later on the governor of Kunduz province Mohammad Anwar Jagdulak briefed the meeting of national Security Council about the security situation in Kunduz. 
Afghanistan’s ambassador to US Aklil Hakimi who attended the meeting of the national Security Council briefed the participants about the progress made so far on inking security cooperation agreement with the United States of America.
