Govt.’s Firm Political Determination Disappoints Enemies: VP Danesh

Kabul (BNA) The Second Vice-President Sarwar Danesh said yesterday that the government’s firm resolution and political well had disappointed the enemies of Afghanistan, BNA reported.
He made the remarks in his speech at a ceremony to mark World AIDS Day.
In his remarks, the Vice-President also added that the government to fight AIDS, HIV and addiction. The national unity government is fighting all evils and overcome the problems and that is why the disappointed enemies are desperately attempting to undermine the government’s progress towards peace and prosperity by conducting terrorist attacks.  In his address the vice president added that the motto for this year is “Treatment and preventing HIV and safeguarding life” and the government is firm to fight the disease. He also said that the aim of naming December 1 as World AIDS Day is to draw the attention of the world, governments, NGOs, civil society and religious groups to play their due role in checking the disease. Dr. Ahmad Jan Naeem acting Minister of Public Health and representative of World Health Organization (WHO) also spoke at the meeting and stressed for taking necessary steps to check the epidemic.
