Afghan-German Strategic Pact To Be Signed Before Chicago Conference

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in a meeting with German Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Michael Kakh discussed continued mutual relations and signing of the long-term strategic cooperation treaty between the two nations. 
At the meeting held in the presidential palace, president Karzai thanked Germany for its assistance in different spheres in the past years and said that Germany is historic friend of Afghanistan that assisted this country under very difficult conditions and never let it alone. 
At the meeting, issues pertaining to expansion of the relations were also reiterated and it was agreed that the strategic cooperation treaty between Afghanistan and Germany will be signed before the Chicago Conference. 
The German Special Envoy assured the president that Germany will as before stand on the side of the Afghans and will not leave them alone after 2014 as well.
