Russian Humanitarian Aid Consignment Arrived in Kabul

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Disaster Management of Afghanistan says a Russian humanitarian aid consignment has arrived in Kabul today, Wednesday.

16-ton cargo, that includes spices, tents, and blankets have arrived at Kabul Airport through a charter flight, said a statement by Ministry.

Acting Disaster Management Ghulam Ghaws Nasseri whiling, receiving the aid from Russia in Kabul airport in a ceremony praising Russia said the aid will be distributed through a transparent procedure to the southeast victims.

In the meantime, Anton Lavrov, the deputy of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, said that these donations include 30 tents, 1,000 blankets, and medicine for the victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan.

Lavrov, the deputy of the Russian embassy said that his country’s assistance will continue for the victims of the recent earthquake and floods in Afghanistan.

Lately, a severe earthquake hit Paktika and Khost provinces and floods destroyed many residential houses in some provinces of the country, following the natural disasters many countries including Afghan neighbors starts sending humanitarian aid to the victims’ families in Afghanistan.
