Senate Internal Rule Approved

Kabul (BNA) A meeting chaired by Mohammad Alam Izedyar first secretary of the Senate approved the remaining part of the Internal rule of the Senate.
The Senate also discussed the draft law on commercial branches which were referred to the national economic commission of the Senate.
In free discussions the senators debated the suicide bombing near the Loya Jirga tent by the Taliban elements that killed and wounded a number of countrymen mostly innocent civilians.
The senators strongly condemned the terrorist attack calling it the work of the intelligence agencies of the neighboring countries including the ISI of Pakistan.
They said that the enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan in order to make their bosses happy are resorting to killing of innocent civilians. They expressed their sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims and prayed for early recovery of the wounded of this incident.
The senators also discussed issues pertaining to the coming Consultative Loya Jirga to be held in Kabul for assessing the security and defensive pact with the US.
They called holding of the Loya Jirga as illegal in presence of the National Assembly and called members of the Loya Jirga as government supporters, while some of the senators called this Jirga legal and useful for debating the security pact with the US and they asked provision of the text of the pact for the members of the National Assembly prior to holding of the Jirga.
They said that precautionary security measures and traffic jams on the route towards the Loya Jirga has created problems for the residents of the area surrounding the Jirga tent should be reviewed in order the problems to be settled.
