Science Academy and Universities Should be strengthened: PM Mawlavi Kabir

KABUL (BNA) The Acting Prime Minister and Deputy PM for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Mawlavi Abdul Kabir has met with the delegations of Afghanistan Science Academy, his office said in a statement Tuesday.

“Besides the opening of the Islamic banking system, translation centers and publishing of 34 academic books, Afghanistan Science Academy has made significant achievements in the past year,” the statement quoted the delegations as saying.

In the meeting, the delegations also said that after the resumption of power by the IEA, dozens of academic workshops have been launched, as well as necessary efforts are underway to strengthen the national languages in the country, statement said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Prime Minister and Deputy PM Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, while, calling vital role of the academy in strengthening of education and research said that considering the scientific importance of science academy and universities, the departments should be further developed in the country, the statement said, assuring that the law of Science Academy will be accelerated as soon as possible.

Also, the Acting Prime Minister and Deputy PM Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, has separately met with one of the Jihadi figures of the country’s northern province of Baghlan, Mawlavi Mohmmad Qol Shariati, the statement further said.

Mawlavi Mohmmad Qol Shariati shared the problems related to his province with Mawlavi Kabir and asked for addressing of them, according to the statement.
