Atmar Attends 7th Annual Security Officials Conference

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar, President’s national security advisor attended 7th Annual Security Officials Conference in Russia the other day Bakhter News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to BNA, the conference hosted by Nicholai Pitroshove, Russia’s national security advisor in Grozny, Chechen’s capital and attended by high-ranking security officials of more than fifty countries discussed the terrorism and extremism.
Pointing to the regional and world threats, Atmar said, ‘terrorism and extremism are two serious threats to the regional and world countries, adding joint cooperation is needed to fight these phenomena.’
Talking on Afghanistan’s current security situation, Atmar lauded the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) capabilities in defending the country, adding the ANSF are faced much difficulty in fighting terrorism, but fortunately, they can fight the insurgents with high moral in the battle fields furthermore, National Security Advisor, Atmar separately met Chinese, Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan high-ranking security officials and stressed on mutual cooperation in security, economy, transit arenas and acceleration of joint efforts in implementation of TAPI, CASA 1000, Chabahar Port and other infrastructural projects in Afghanistan.
