Kabul (BNA) The Afghan and coalition forces in several operations in some provinces of the country killed six armed militants and detained six others yesterday.
According to interior ministry press office to BNA, the operations took place in the vicinities of Takhar, Kandahar and Herat provinces, as a result of which, six armed militants were killed and six others were detained.
Three Kalashnikovs, a rocket launcher, 2 pistols, 8 gun shells, 3 mines, 3 grenades, 2 cars and a motorbike were seized by these forces, said the source.
Another report says that, the security personnel discovered and defused 12 mines, 19 mortar warheads and a gallon full of explosive device from vicinities of Helmand, Urozgan and Farah provinces.
