Faizabad (BNA) A 10 beds hospital to be built by German Development Bank Department in Tagab district of Badakhshan province.
In foundation ceremony of the hospital, Dr. Noor Mohammad Khawari head of public health department in the province told BNA, the hospital will be equipped with modern medical facilities and every day at least 115 patients will be treated by 19 doctors and nurses.
He said, the hospital will be built in one floor with basic standard at the total cost of 25 million Afghanis.
Khawari further added, earlier a primary clinic was active, but could not provide health requirements to families of the district.
According to him, now the patients of the district go to adjoining districts for treatment and most of obstetric patients due to long distance lost their lives.
Health officials in the province say, health services in parts of the province have been better than previous years and confirmed that the residents of some remote districts in the province still have less access to health services.
