Kidnapped De-Miners Freed In Logar

Kabul (BNA) Armed men have released nine de-miners of HALO Trust charity welfare organization in Logar province.
The gunmen kidnapped them close to Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital of Logar province, on Sunday morning and freed them in the evening after keeping them in custody for few hours. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, police chief of Logar province said that the gunmen had taken them from Dawoudkhil area to an Azra District. He said security forces launched an operation to security the hostages but gunmen let them go without resistance. Ishaqzai further said that the driver and vehicles of the charity organization are still with gunmen. HALO Trust a non-government charity organization is a partner of Mine Action Program for Afghanistan (MAPA) began to remove Improvised Explosive Devices threatening lives in Afghanistan.
