Kabul (BNA) Some 15000 families would have portable water with the completion of water supplying project in Faizabad the capital of Badakhshan province.
The work for the project began a month ago and would be completed in near future, Pir Mohammad Yaftali the head of rural development in Badakhshan said yesterday.
With a budget of 6 million Afghanis funded by UNICEF, Mr. Yaftali said job opportunities will be provided to the people in the mentioned project.
An official with UNICEF, Sayed Abdul Rahman also spoke on the occasion, adding the completion of the project would help overcome the scarcity of drinking water in the area.
