Kabul (BNA) Amid insecurities in a number of provinces, the security entities said that the commando forces were the effective option to suppress government armed oppositions.
At the same time, calling role of commando forces effective in fighting terrorism, the national Security Council said these forces were being used in very trying circumstances.
Sayed Abdul Qadir Aram, the spokesperson to Shaheen 209 Army Corps in northern Afghanistan said, ‘we are not able to do anything sans existence of commando special forces in battlefields, because, they are the most active forces that never put down their guns.’
Likewise, lauding the commando forces’ capabilities, the ministries of defense and interior while assuring the people on ensuring security in the country said that the armed insurgents have weakened and are not able to fight the Afghan security forces anymore.
Brig. Gen. Dawlat Waziri, the spokesperson to the ministry of defense said, ‘since the Special Forces took responsibility of special operations, we have witnessed much success on restoring security and suppressing enemies throughout the country.’
He added that since beginning of this year, the Afghan security forces have applied new military tactics, through which we could impose heavy blows to terrorist groups.
Meanwhile, calling the Special Forces’ operations effective in suppressing insurgents, a number of lawmakers and political experts told The Kabul Times that in consider with ongoing situations and capabilities of the Afghan security forces, they are capable enough to achieve further successes in battlegrounds.
Mohammad Abduh, a lawmaker said, ‘the Afghan commando forces are now capable enough to lonely ensure security across the country, as they have successfully led the biggest operations so far.’
Furthermore, expressing optimism on the Afghan security forces’ capabilities, a number of political and military experts believe that the government armed oppositions are not able anymore to face with them.
Ali Rahmani, a political and military affairs’ experts said, ‘since the Afghan security forces took responsibility of ensuring security in the country, most of their operations have been effective in suppressing enemies.’
They have defended the country and their countrymen in very trying circumstances so far, for instance, they have conducted successful operations in Nawa district of southern Helmand province.
Nawid Elham, a writer and analyst said, ‘consecutive defeat of the insurgents in different provinces indicates that they have no choice but to disturb or kill the innocent people.’
This is while that currently, Afghanistan’s security is fully ensured by the Afghan security forces.
