Seven Civilian Shooting by Taliban Fighters in N. Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Seven civilians have been shot dead by Taliban fighters in northern Balkh province the other day.
Sayed Aref Iqbali in-charge of police in Sholgara district, Balkh province told BNA correspondent, the incident took place in Tajik Eltan region, Sholgara district of the province.
All the victims were formers and went to the area to inform from their cultivations, Iqbali added.
Based to reports, first the formers have been abducted by Taliban fighters then shooting them.
Taliban said nothing about the incident so far.
According to another report, six anti-government militias were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in Balkh province.
The insurgents have been targeted while they wanted to carry out attack on Afghan security forces’ convey and security checkpoints, police officials say.
