Kabul (BNA) At least 19 Taliban insurgents were killed during an anti-terrorism joint operations led by the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Sunday.
Eleven other insurgents were injured and five others arrested. The operations were conducted in Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Sar-ePul, Ghazni, Herat and Ghor provinces, the statement said.
“Also, during these operations, Afghan National police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition,” the statement added.
“During the same 24 hours period, Afghan National police discovered and defused 32 different types of IEDs placed by the enemies of Afghanistan for destructives in Faryab, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Maidan-Wardak and Helmand provinces.”
