Afghan Govt. To Hand over Saudi’s Pledged Money to Martyred, Wounded Families Of Mina Incident

Kabul (BNA) Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to the President, met Sayed Jalal Karim, Afghan Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dated here yesterday, a ministry statement told The Kabul Times.
In the meeting, both sides discussed the victims of Mina, the incident along Jamarrat in Hajj and Saudi Arabia’s assistance to the martyred and injured in the event.
In the Mina accident that took place in 2015, a number of people have been martyred and injured due to fall of the crane, including some Afghan pilgrims. King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz al-Saud had pledged one million Saudi riyals for the martyred, and 500,000 Saudi riyals for the wounded concerning that 23 Cheques have been submitted to the Acting Minister of Finance by Afghan Ambassador to Kingdom Saudi Arabia.
The Acting Minister of Finance said that the amount would be given to the affected families as soon as possible including Martyred and Injured by Da Afghanistan Bank, the statement added.
